Class Description: This class introduces young dancers to creative movement and basic ballet foundations through fun, imaginative activities that develop coordination, rhythm, balance, and listening skills.
Dress Code: Leotard, ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, hair neatly secured away from the face, and no jewelry except small stud earrings.

Class Description: This class introduces students to fundamental ballet technique, including basic arm and leg positions, posture and alignment, simple steps such as pliés, tendus, relevés, balances, and sautés, while developing rhythm, coordination, and musicality,
Required Dress Code: Proper ballet attire including a leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a neat low bun, and no jewelry except small stud earrings.

Class Description: This class is designed for dancers who have mastered Ballet 1 skills and focuses on building upon foundational technique by strengthening posture, alignment, and muscle awareness, expanding ballet vocabulary with more developed port de bras, basic turns, and foot articulation, and introducing more structured barre and center combinations to improve strength, control, and confidence.

Class Description:
This class is for dancers who have confidently completed Ballet 2 and are ready for more challenging technique. Dancers will refine posture, alignment, and muscle control while expanding ballet vocabulary with more complex port de bras, turns, adagio work, and extended combinations at the barre and in the center to build strength, control, and artistry.
Dress Code:
Leotard; ballet tights; pink ballet shoes (canvas or leather preferred); hair in a secure bun; no jewelry.

Class Description:
This class prepares ballet students for future pointe work by strengthening the feet, ankles, legs, and core. Dancers focus on proper alignment, relevés, balance, and articulation of the feet, as well as barre and center exercises designed to build the strength and control needed for pointe.
Dress Code:
Leotard; ballet tights; pink ballet shoes (canvas or leather); hair in a secure bun; no jewelry. Pointe shoes only if approved by the instructor.

Class Description:
For dancers who have been evaluated and approved for pointe work. This class focuses on safe and correct technique en pointe, including strengthening exercises at the barre, basic center work, turns, and traveling combinations to develop stability, control, and artistry.
Dress Code:
Leotard; ballet tights; properly fitted pointe shoes; hair in a secure bun; no jewelry.

Class Description: This class introduces young dancers to acrobatics by building confidence and bravery on mats and acro equipment through basic stretching, strength exercises, and creative movement while learning simple acro tricks.
Dress Code: Tight-fitting dance or athletic attire such as a sports tank top with dance shorts or leggings; hair secured off the face and neck; barefoot; no jewelry or plastic hair clips.

Class Description: This beginner-level class builds acro fundamentals through stretching and strengthening while teaching foundational skills including somersaults, back rolls, cartwheels, standing backbends, handstands, headstands, and right and left splits.
Dress Code: Tight-fitting dance or athletic attire such as a sports tank top with dance shorts or leggings; hair secured off the face and neck; barefoot; no jewelry or plastic hair clips.

Any age INTERMEDIATE This class will combine skills of both dance and gymnastics. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration, muscle control, discipline and more advanced tricks. Dancers study acrobatic techniques and explore how these techniques can be applied to other forms of dance.
Dress Code: Black leotard or Black Sports tank, black spandex shorts, NO TIGHTS, barefoot, hair in low bun. No jewelry or plastic hair clips.

Class Description: This advanced-level class is for dancers who have mastered Acro 1 and Acro 2 skills and focuses on higher-level acro technique including side aerials, front aerials, back handsprings, round-off back handsprings, front handsprings, and front and back walkover variations.
Dress Code: Tight-fitting dance or athletic attire such as a sports tank top with dance shorts or leggings; hair secured off the face and neck; barefoot; no jewelry or plastic hair clips.

Class Description: This class introduces young dancers to movement through fun music and basic hip-hop steps while developing rhythm, coordination, listening skills, and confidence in a playful and supportive environment.
Requirements & Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and sneakers, hair secured out of the face, ability to listen and participate in class, willingness to try new movements, follow basic instructions, and show positive effort and behavior.

Class Description: This beginner-level class builds foundational hip-hop skills including basic grooves, footwork, and introductory choreography while developing timing, body control, and musicality.
Requirements & Dress Code: No prior experience required; comfortable dance attire and sneakers; hair secured out of the face; ability to focus for short choreography; respect for instructors and classmates; willingness to learn and perform basic hip-hop steps while keeping time with the music.

Class Description: This intermediate-level class expands hip-hop technique with more complex choreography, sharper movements, and increased performance quality, confidence, and style.
Requirements & Dress Code: Completion of Hip Hop 1 or instructor approval; comfortable dance attire and sneakers; hair secured out of the face; ability to remember longer choreography; commitment to regular attendance; performs with timing, control, energy, and confidence; accepts corrections and applies feedback.

Class Description: This advanced-level class focuses on high-level technique, performance, and style through challenging choreography, formations, and stage presence development.
Requirements & Dress Code: Completion of Hip Hop 2 or instructor approval; comfortable dance attire and sneakers; hair secured out of the face; strong technique and stamina; ability to learn choreography quickly; positive attitude, teamwork, focus, and dedication.

Intermediate lyrical class emphasizing advanced turns, higher jumps, sustained movement, and nuanced musicality and storytelling through more complex choreography.

Beginner technique class building a strong foundation for turns and leaps, focusing on clean single turns, basic chaîné and piqué turns, body positions, right and left leaps, and right and left splits.

Class Description:
Continues foundational work with increased difficulty, adding multiple single turns, more precise chaîné and piqué turns, right and left leaps with added height, surprise leaps, and stronger flexibility for leg holds and splits.

Intermediate class emphasizing control, strength, and consistency in turns and leaps, including multiple turns, clean chaîné and piqué sequences, advanced surprise leaps, standing leg holds, and solid right and left splits.

An introductory tap class for young dancers that develops rhythm, coordination, and musicality through simple steps, patterns, and fun, age-appropriate activities and dances.

Class Description: This class introduces dancers to traditional Mexican Folklórico dance, focusing on cultural appreciation, rhythm, footwork, skirt and prop technique, posture, and expressive performance while learning choreographed routines that celebrate heritage and storytelling through movement.
Dress Code: Fitted dance attire or rehearsal skirt as instructed; character or Folklórico shoes; hair neatly secured off the face and neck; no jewelry.

Class Description: This class combines dance, acting, and stage presence to develop expressive performance skills, character storytelling, and confidence while learning choreography and theatrical routines inspired by Broadway-style productions.
Dress Code: Comfortable, form-fitting dance attire that allows movement; jazz or character shoes as instructed; hair secured off the face; no jewelry.

Class Description: This inclusive class is open to dancers of all ages and is specially designed for students with special needs, focusing on foundational movement exercises and creative improvisation that introduce basic concepts of dance through activities that can be enjoyed by participants of all abilities, while celebrating the unique movement language of each dancer’s body and mind.
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing that allows movement and closed-toe sneakers required.

Class Description:
High-energy class focusing on sharp arm motions, strong jazz-based technique, and sideline-style choreography. Dancers will work on precision, jumps, kicks, formations, and performance quality using poms.

OPEN FOR ALL - POM POM / HIP HOP

Class Description: Open to all levels, the AT2D Spirit Team focuses on pom dance and hip hop while building teamwork, confidence, and performance skills, with exciting opportunities to perform at venues such as Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Toyota Arena, and more. This class is open to ages 5–17 with no audition required.
Dress Code: All-black dance attire for practice; hair secured off the face and neck; tan jazz shoes and black-and-white sneakers required.
TECHNIQUE / AGE BASED CLASSES

Class Description: Dancers enrolled in our Mini Competition Prep program attend three hours of weekly training including technique, stretching, and conditioning to build foundational strength, coordination, and performance skills. This program prepares young dancers for our first-ever AT2D Competition Team auditions in August 2026, with exciting opportunities to perform in the summer recital and participate in a Palm Springs competition experience before auditions.
